"shell"-ebrating seaside decor any time...

Wow, where has summer gone? Now that Labor Day is over, summer has unofficially come to an end, which means that pretty soon I'll have to start putting away most of my shells to get ready for pumpkins, leaves and acorns.

However, since I live near the beach,
I'll still keep out a few shells
around my home throughout the year.
And, whenever I want to get some great shells
and/or shell related items,
I go to a wonderful store here
in Manhattan Beach, California,
called, A Summer Place.
Owned by Cheryl Dukesherer,
she not only carries a great variety of shells,
but also fun vintage and antique housewares, as well as
wonderful antique armoires (I just LOVE this one),
and dressers,
along with furniture that can be custom ordered.
There are also different types of chandeliers -
such as this pretty white glass design, and
 a whimsical, tea light chandelier,
made with vintage spoons and forks!
Blending in with the antiques and found objects,
are handmade and new beach-inspired items.
And for the little ones...
... great beach-themed gifts.
Aren't these nautical-inspired sock monkeys just so cute?
The store is divided into two sides,
with cute little vignettes
located throughout each side,
 just waiting
to be explored in depth!
So, if you're ever in Manhattan Beach, stop in
A Summer Place, and enjoy finding some "shell"-icious goodies! Then...

... come along for the ride!
